About the Department

The Department of Computer Science was founded in 1972 as part of the College of Engineering. We currently have 23 faculty members and over 450 undergraduate and 120 graduate students. Our department is ranked among the top 50 Computer Science programs in the nation according to U.S. News & World Report.

All labs are connected to the campus network and have access to the Internet.
